Cardi B & Offset SUED After Alleged Met Gala Assault

That’s right, you guys! Cardi B and Offset are finding themselves in legal hot water after an autograph hound made allegations that they instructed three men to QUOTE, “savagely assault” him outside of a Met Gala after-party!
TMZ reported that a man by the name of Giovanni Arnold said he was at The Mark Hotel after 2 A.M. on May 8th, when Cardi shouted some less-than-kind words his way. According to Giovanni, after he QUOTE, “expressed disappointment with being ignored,” Cardi called him names and even threatened him by saying, QUOTE, “I will slap the s*** out of you.” YIKES.
To make matters even worse, the man also alleges that Offset trailed closely behind his fiancée, making similar threats. If what Giovanni says is true, Offset also told him to QUOTE, “shut up, bro,” also adding that if he didn’t, he would get beat up. What a mess!
TMZ also added that, in the lawsuit, it says that Giovanni QUOTE, “tried de-escalating the situation, but within seconds 3 bodyguards attacked him.” It also said that he didn’t try to fight back at all, and that instead, all he did was lie on the ground and tried to protect himself. He then went to the hospital after claiming injuries to his face, neck, back and entire body.
Of course, this incident doesn’t exactly make Cardi B and Offset look good, but Cardi’s team did comment after the fact claiming that Giovanni was, as TMZ puts it, QUOTE, “super aggressive and obnoxious.”
