Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has sacked caretaker minister in the prime minister's department Joseph Entulu Belaun from the party in an apparent preemptive move to prevent him from contesting in the 14th general election.
The announcement was made by PRS president James Jemut Masing at a press conference in Kuching, flanked by party supreme council members.
Joseph was the deputy president of PRS and MP for Selangau.
James said the decision to expel Joseph from the party was unanimous.
"You have disobeyed against the party's decision not to nominate you as a candidate for the constituency of P214 Selangau," James told the press conference.
