Shan refugees have celebrated their New Year for the first time in an unofficial refugee camp in Northern Thailand.

KoungJor refugee camp, in northern Thailand, is home to around 600 Shan people who have fled conflict in Myanmar.

The camp was set up in 2002 and is not recognized by the UN refugee agency or the Thai government.
