MALTA-Valletta: Chinese Spring Festival 2012 - Year of the Dragon

Once again, the China Cultural Centre and the Valletta local council joined forces to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2012 (Chinese Spring Festival), Year of the Dragon.Taking part in the celebration were the 23 artists from the Yancheng Song & Dance Troupe, China. (see video)

Other info: Full performances were also presented at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta. A Chinese National Musical Concert was held at Sir Temi Zammit Hall of the University of Malta on the following day whilst a photographic exhibition will be mounted at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Valletta from February 2 to 9.

The programme of activities also included a cultural fair at the China Cultural Centre in Melita Street, Valletta on February 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the occasion of the Chinese Lanterns Festival.

The auspicious event was especially dedicated to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in January 2012.
