On 28th April 2012, World Taiji Day was celebrated in Valletta, Malta. The annual event was organized by China Cultural Centre Malta, Valletta Local Council and Malta Judo Federation. It was under the auspices of China Embassy, Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre, Malta Taiji Society and Maltese Olympic Committee.

The Malta Taiji Society under the leadership of Mr. Mike Micallef, the Founder, they performed Yang Family Traditional Taiji Quan in 49-form, 16-form and 13 form. Solo performances including Beijing style Fan and Swords in Taiji.Taiji Performers: Glenn, Michael, Rita, Maryanne, Alan, Sandra, Margaret, Carmen, John, James and Manuel.


Taiji 24-form was performed by the Chinese group comprising staff of the China Cultural Centre, China Embassy and Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre from Malta.
