Malta-China Friendship Society Gala Dinner 2012

This video shows clips of the Gala Dinner organized by the Malta-China Friendship Society which was held at the Radisson Hotel, St Julians, under the patronage of the Hon. Dr Tonio Borg, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malta and H.E. Zhang Keyuan, Ambassador of China to Malta.

The special occasion was organized to celebrate the 40 years of diplomatic ties between Malta and China.

Clips include, interesting and inspiring speeches delivered by Mr. Reno Calleja, Founder/President of the Malta-China Friendship Society, the Ambassador of China and Hon. Dr Tonio Borg.

The evening was further enhanced with live entertainment performed by the Yangcheng Song & Dance Troupe from China including a Maltese song called 'Bic-Cajt' (joking) sung by a Chinese singer namely Cheng Hou under the direction of Mra Marie-Therese Vassallo. 'Bic-Cajt' was composed by the late Mro Frank Vassallo. Lyrics by Mra Marie Therese Vassallo, daughter of Mro Frank Vassallo.

Beautiful paintings by the Maltese artist, Joseph Barbara and the Chinese artist, Mr. Sun from Beijing were exhibited.
