Sorry we’re so nosy Chris. We just want to know how you feel.
When the new dropped that Anna Faris and Chris Pratt were splitting up, it hurt our hearts. At the time they released a joint statement saying, “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another." Some thought that there may still be hope, but divorce papers were filed in December and one of our favorite couples was officially over. Chris was able to avoid press because he was filming Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but now he’s opened up to Entertainment Weekly in their Summer Movie Preview issue. He says QUOTE, "Divorce sucks. But at the end of the day, we've got a great kid who's got two parents who love him very much. And we're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It's not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better." Anna is said to be dating cinematographer Michael Barrett and she said recently on Dax Shepard’s podcast that she’s trying to figure out the purpose of marriage, but she also admitted that their PDA in public and on social media made the hard times and the breakup harder. She said QUOTE, “Chris and I did talk about [it]. We got, like on the Twitter feed, ‘Love is dead’ and ‘relationship goals. I think what we were also guilty of — we obviously cultivated something and it was rewarding for a while. It was like ‘People seem to think we got all this s—t right.’ I had a little bit of a childish feeling of ‘Oh come on, f——king grow up!’ Like, [there was] a little bit of anger. But that’s not fair either, because I cultivated it. We intentionally cultivated this idea of like, ‘Look at this beautiful family.’ There were so many moments that were like that but like anything on social media, you don’t post like, ‘Where the f—k is the toilet paper?!’ or whatever. I think it’s a very hard forum to be genuine, and I think it does a disservice to people to not be.”
That’s true. Social media really can be a highlight reel for some people. Anyway, what do you think about what Chris AND Anna had to say.
