Chris Pratt & Anna Faris Announce Separation & Fans Are Heartbroken

Stock up on tissues, call out of work, do whatever you need to do to cope with this monstrosity of a news update – we’re here for you. Chris Pratt and Anna Farris have each announced their legal separation just yesterday via social media in heartbreaking statements after eight years of marriage.
In a joint statement, the two announced their plans to separate, and asked for privacy from here on out, in respect to their family and their son Jack. The statement posted to Chris’ Facebook page, along with Anna’s socials that read, QUOTE, “We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
Chris and Anna fell for each other back in 2007 while playing love interests in the movie “Take Me Home Tonight”, while Anna was married to Ben Indra at the time. The two remained friends until Anna’s divorce was finalized in 2007. Chris and Anna eventually tied the knot in 2009, and had their son Jack in 2012, who makes continuous appearances on the pair’s socials, so it only makes sense why they’d ask for privacy during this tragic time.
But the entirety of the Internet as a collective whole was simply not having it, and if possible, are taking it harder than Anna and Chris themselves – ok so it’s probably not nearly comparable, but it’s safe to say nobody in their right mind saw this one coming. Many fans of the couple took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter, as one fan asked for assistance on coping, writing QUOTE, “send me your best breakup songs/playlists, I'm in mourning over Chris Pratt and Anna Faris” and another was concerned about the couple’s bug collection that they bonded over in the beginning of their relationship, saying, “I'm in shock this has happened! "Chris Pratt and Anna Faris" whats going to happen with your bug collection ?”
Some fans are even attempting to protect other Hollywood couples, as one wrote, “With Chris Pratt and Anna Faris splitting up we need to protect Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively at all costs,” and then, “With Chris Pratt and Anna Faris splitting, we have to protect Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard at all costs.” And I couldn’t agree more.
