DAP was thrust in the spotlight at the Umno General Assembly after Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh called on the party to apologise to Umno over condemnations made when the parties were foes.

Akmal has since clarified that his demand for an apology from the DAP was made on behalf of Umno's grassroots.
