“It was nice to be married for a little bit … not ready for it yet”
It looks like David Dobrik learned a lot from his one-month marriage to Lorraine Nash and realized he wasn’t ready for THAT kind of commitment.
What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and David Dobrik just opened up about his short-lived marriage to fellow YouTuber, Jason Nash's mom, Lorraine.
In case you missed it, a couple months ago, David married his best friend’s mom in one of his most elaborate vlogs yet.
It didn’t work out and they ended up getting a divorce a few weeks later.
Because, duh, marriage is a legit legally bound commitment, and this was all for the YouTube video views.
And this isn’t the only time in recent YouTube culture we’ve seen this sort of marriage.
*cough cough* Jake and Tana *cough cough*
David spoke with Entertainment Tonight at VidCon and jokingly said quote, “It's crazy because I asked people to respect my privacy, but no one's respecting it. We had so much fun.”
David’s referring to his break up post when he wrote quote, “I am heartbroken to announce that Lorraine and I have decided to end our romantic relationship. […] We will continue to love and support one another while being great friends and parents to our children. I thank everyone in advance for respecting our privacy at this time.”
So, while this whole thing has been a joke, David still refers to Jason Nash as his son.
David spoke about the car he just bought Jason, you know, the $75,000 Tesla seen in this picture that David captioned quote, “Bought my son a car to get his mind off the divorce”
To which Jason responded quote, “I’m still gonna live with mom”
Is David open to adopting any more kids? I wouldn’t be opposed to getting a Tesla either.
David told ET quote, “He's still my son. I got him the car, and I noticed the next day we went out filming, he was like, trying extra hard to get funny stuff. I loved it, because it was helping me get my vlog done, but he was really going out there to make things funny.”
So it looks like the divorce hasn’t had a negative impact on David and Jason’s friendship.
Thank goodness.
Alright guys, now I want to hear from you.
Did you love David’s marriage to Lorraine? Or do you think actually getting married was taking it a little too far just for YouTube videos?
