After what seemed like a lifetime of love and happiness, Liza Koshy and David Dobrik have decided to call it quits. Liza and David made the heartbreaking announcement via YouTube and honestly, I think everyone was blindsided by this news.
In the six minute long video, the two revealed that they actually broke up six months ago, but decided to wait until now to tell their fans. Something tells us they needed some time to deal with the split before sharing with the world, which is totally understandable.
While Liza and David definitely tried to keep things lighthearted in their video, they both eventually broke down on camera because, well, how could they not? It’s such a sad and heartbreaking time in their life!
Liza admitted in the video that she’s going through some “rough stuff” and needed some time to herself to figure things out.
However, aside from the personal issues, David also revealed that distance was a huge factor in their decision to split up. He explained QUOTE, “Liza broke up with me because she felt like we’ve been distant because we’ve been so busy. As much as I hate to admit it, I was feeling it on my side too, but I just don’t have the balls to pull the trigger on that.”
But, judging by their candidness in the video, these two are going to be just fine. Liza and David both insisted that they’re still best friends and that their break-up is totally amicable, and you know what, we definitely believe it.
