Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has blamed PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim for being the reason pro-Malay policies are viewed as racist.
Speaking at a Parti Pejuang Tanah Air ceramah at Jalan Wirawati in Kuala Lumpur last night, Dr Mahathir said he himself has been called a racist for speaking about Malay issues.
Pejuang has placed Khairuddin Abu Hassan to contest in Titiwangsa.
The Titiwangsa seat is a four-way fight between Khairuddin, Pakatan Harapan's Khalid Abdul Samad, BN’s Johari Abdul Ghani, and Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) Rosni Adam.
In 2018, it was won by Bersatu’s Rina Harun, who later defected from Harapan to PN.
In GE14, Rina won 39 percent of the vote under the Harapan ticket while Johari won 32 percent in the three-way tussle.
