Drake Buys $50K Worth Of Groceries For Miami Shoppers & Makes HUGE Donations

Drake surprised thousands of Miami residents during his music video shoot for “God’s Plan” with paid grocery bills and scholarship money, proving that he is the gift that keeps on giving.
He may claim he only “loves his bed and his mama,” but Drake’s clearly got some serious love for his fans.
We all love Drake for his catchy can’t-get-out-of-your-head lyrics, and also those “Hotline Bling” dance moves, but he’s just proven himself to be the fairy godfather we never knew we needed. Just this week, he paid the city of Miami (like, literally PAID) a very generous visit as he set out to shoot the music video for his latest smash hit “God’s Plan”. But he didn’t leave thousands of students and residents emptyhanded.
In fact, he left many fans with their pockets and grocery bags filled to the brim with upwards of $175,000 worth of scholarship money, groceries and gift cards. I know what you’re thinking – why didn’t I get this memo?! While shooting the video on Miami Senior High School’s campus, Drake handed over a check for $25,000 just before leaving, promising that he would soon return and help design new school uniforms. Students also got front-row access to his shoot, and seriously you guys, I am getting MAJOR FOMO from this video footage that looks like a straight-up party.
He then made his way to the University of Miami where he put on a small impromptu concert for a massive crowd of students, and OH YEAH, he also gifted one lucky student, who submitted essays about her story and applying for scholarships, with a check for $50,000.
But we’re still going, guys – Drake then stopped by a Miami supermarket, where he dropped a whopping $50,000 on everyone’s groceries in the store, urging customers to keep buying more. He reportedly announced over the store’s megaphone that he’d be treating everyone to groceries and hung around after to take photos with fans. Seriously at this point, he is actually giving the real fairy godmother a run for her own money.
And finally, my favorite Drizzy deed of the day happened when Drake also made a surprise stop at a Miami homeless shelter for women and children where he gave another check for $50K, along with toys and games for the kids. A news release from Miami's Lotus Village said Drake visited on Tuesday to support families who moved into the nonprofit's new shelter a week ago, passing out $150 Target gift cards for the female residents.
Serious question though, why isn’t this guy wifed up yet?
