Ed Sheeran blew everyone away with a stellar performance of “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You” at the Brit Awards, with a little help from rapper Stormzy.
Ed and his band kicked things off with by performing a section of Castle on the Hill, and just like his recent Grammys performance, he absolutely killed it.
Ed then switched things up and went straight into “Shape of You”, and half-way through the song he got some help with fellow Brit and rapper, Stormzy.
Stormzy busted out a fun rap break giving a new twist to Ed’s chart-topping single, which was a nice surprise for Ed’s fans in the UK who are already familiar with Stormzy’s music, as well as the international audience watching back home who had no idea what to expect once the rapper came out. The collaboration was so good, in fact, that now we’re hoping Ed and Stormzy go record this version of the song in the studio so we can add it to our playlists ASAP!
And speaking of our playlists, as if we weren’t already anticipating Ed’s forthcoming album like crazy, now we’re more excited than ever for the “Divide” album to drop next week. If the rest of the tracks are even half as good as “Castle on a Hill” and “Shape of You” then we are all in store for some serious car dancing in the weeks to come.
Alright guys now I wanna know what YOU think of Ed’s Brit Awards performance--are you more eager than ever for Divide to drop?
