There is no way the Golden Globes didn’t do this Harry Potter reunion presenter pair on purpose.
Harry Potter fans got a treat last night at the Golden Globes when Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson appeared onstage together to present the award for Best Miniseries or TV Movie to Big Little Lies. If you’re a Potterhead, this presenter pairing no doubt made you squeal with nostalgic bliss because Emma and Robert of course played Hermione and Cedric in the films.
Sadly they didn’t make any reference to the Harry Potter reunion and to be fair that was 13 years ago, but I think you could see in their body language and grins on their faces that they were happy to see each other once again. Emma and Robert may not have said anything, but you best believe twitter was not about to let the moment go unnoticed.
Cher tweeted – “Really disappointed they werent announced as Hermione Granger & Cedric Diggory #GoldenGlobes.” Others agreed saying – “I'M SORRY BUT TO INTRODUCE EMMA WATSON AND ROBERT PATTINSON AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN HERMIONE GRANGER AND CEDRIC DIGGORY IS ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTFUL!!!” Another said – “IT MADE ME SO HAPPY TO SEE EMMA WATSON AND ROBERT PATTINSON TOGETHER AGAIN.”
No doubt whoever was in charge of organizing who would present with who was a Harry Potter fan. And to boot, Emma and Robert weren’t the only Harry Potter cast members in the building, Daniel Thewlis who played Remus Lupin was also in the house. Safe to say it was a pretty magical night.
