Season 24 of Dancing With the Stars came to an end last night and after 10 long weeks of tears, sweat, and sparkle, we have a winner.
One thing is for sure about this season, it was full of surprises.
The highly anticipated finale of Dancing With the Stars season 24 was last night and ABC was sure to make it worth your while with a two and a half hour long show. Per usual, the finale was filled with advice from past year’s champions, returns from this season’s eliminated contestants, and of course the 24-hour fusion dances from the finalists. David and Lindsay performed a Salsa Foxtrot that received a 36 out of 40, Rashad and Emma performed a Cha-Cha Tango that earned them a 39 out of 40, while Normani and Val performed an Argentine Tango Foxtrot that received a perfect score.
But from past seasons and shocking eliminations, we know that it’s not all about scores. Many other factors are considered including growth throughout the season and of course votes. So spoiler alert, in the end Rashad and Emma were deemed the winners with David and Lindsay in second, and Normani and Val in third.
Many were shocked by Normani and Val finishing last, myself included, but the most visceral reaction of course came from Harmonizers who are not happy campers right now. Ali, Lauren, and Dinah were there to cheer Normani on and man oh man did their faces say it all when it was announced that Val and Normani came in third.
Me too Lauren, Me too. BUT we can all take notes from Normani who had a great attitude about the results.
But hey if you need a pick me up, on the bright side, Hailee Steinfeld performed and totally crushed it.
