Lace up those dancing shoes because the new cast of Dancing With the Stars has finally been revealed and if I’m keeping it real with you guys I’m just way too excited!
Alright friends, this year on the show’s 20th season, the battle continues between an Olympic gold medalist, a rockstar, a Carl’s Jr. Model andddd even a District 12 survivor… it’s safe to say this season of ABC’s hit show is going to be a tough competition!
The network announced the new cast this morning, and we’ve got the full breakdown of the insane talent, annnnd even a few surprises!
The first celeb spent a great deal of time with Jennifer Lawrence filming the Hunger Games series, our longtime friend on Clevver, miss Willow Shields, who plays Primm in the series, will be paired with Mark Ballas. Let’s just hope she doesn’t take any advice from Jen’s character in Silver Linings Playbook… THAT would call for an entertaining show!
And as if that wasn’t already enough, we have another good friend on the show, R5’s bassist AND Glee star Riker Lynch, who will be paired with Alison Holker (who PS: we love as well). So does that mean there will be a cameo appearance from the entire R5 clan? We’re keeping our fingers crossed for that one! But seriously, it better happen.
Famous Carl’s Jr. model, Charlotte McKinney will be paired with Keo Motsepe, which will be his second season as a dancer.
And then we have a 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Nastia Liukin, and you guys, we were shocked (in a good way) to hear that 5-time mirror ball trophy winner Derek Hough will be returning as her partner, after he revealed that he wouldn’t be returning. Looks like he’s back and sooo ready to snatch another trophy! Maybe he couldn’t say no considering his cousin Riker Lynch is going to be on the show – did we mention that Riker and Derek Hough are cousins? Anyways…
The rest of the talented competition includes NFL star Michael Sams paired with Peta Murgatroyd, Three’s Company’s Suzanne Somers paired with Tony Dovolani, Patti LaBelle with Artem Chigvintsev, Robert Herjavec, partnered with Kym Johnson, Redfoo, paired with Emma Slater, Noah Galloway, partnered with Sharna Burgess and we have Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer Willis, partnered with Valentin Chmerkovskiy!
And of course, all four judges including Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough, as well as hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will be returning to the stage this year, as well. So, this season is basically a Hough-Lynch family reunion, too.
But you guys, the surprises don’t stop there: There is one celeb missing to be paired with Whitney Carson (which means it’s going to be a male), and ABC has plans to announce the final cast member closer to the start of the season. More eye candy to gawk over? SOLD.
