Ross Lynch Cast as Harvey Kinkle in 'Sabrina' Reboot

Sabrina has found her love interest! Ross Lynch is cast as Harvey Kinkle in the upcoming ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ reboot.
From serial killer to dreamboat boyfriend, Ross Lynch is one versatile leading man.
Netflix’s upcoming ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ reboot still has no official title- but now they’ve got their love interest. Former Austin and Ally star Ross Lynch has been cast as Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina’s human boyfriend. In case you forgot, Mad Men actress Kiernan Shipka will take on the role of Sabrina.
Ross’ character Harvey is described as the prince charming of a dark fairy tale, the son of a coal miner, a dreamboat and a dreamer, who is completely unaware of the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart. Enough said. We’re already picturing how adorable Ross Lynch and Kiernan Shipka are going to be on screen together. Ross’ previous role saw him play notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, but of course we all know him from Austin & Ally. Ross seems to be thrilled about this drastic role change, tweeting “Harvey Kinkle everybody” with a link to the announcement. Then Ross teased us writing, “You guys are gonna binge watch the sh*t out of this show.” And did we mention he even changed his avatar to be the comic version of Harvey?!
If you didn’t know, the Sabrina reboot is based off the Archie Horror series ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ similar to how Riverdale is based off Archie Comics. But the Sabrina series is promised to be much, much darker. It will focus on Sabrina’s struggle as a half human, half witch while fighting off evil forces. And in addition to Harvey and Sabrina, Netflix has cast Lucy Davis as Aunt Hilda and Miranda Otto as Aunt Zelda. The only bad news here is we have no word on when the series will actually appear in our Netflix accounts.
