This week on Dancing With the Stars, Fifth Harmony joined Normani on stage for a nostalgic performance singing one of their original audition songs while Normani danced.
You gotta love how these girls support each other and this week it could not have been clearer that they are a united front.
Last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars was Most Memorable Year week on the show where the contestants were asked to dedicate their dance to a time in their life that had the greatest impact on them. For Normani, that was 2012 when Fifth Harmony was born. Preceding the performance in a pre-taped package, Normani told the story of how her family put everything aside and dedicated their lives to helping make her dreams come true. She also talked about how grateful she is to have been put in a group with such amazing girls.
She then took the stage to perform her Rumba with Val starting out on the mic singing “Impossible” by Shontelle before being joined onstage by her group members.
For those of you OG Fifth Harmony fans out there, you may remember that “Impossible” is the song Fifth Harmony originally covered back in 2012 during the judges homes round on the X-Factor.
I cried. Following the powerful performance, Normani opened up in her backstage interview saying QUOTE - "It was such a special moment. I wouldn't be in the position that I'm in without these beautiful girls and I recognize that. They make up [for] all of my weaknesses, and I thank them for that." Val chimed in to echo how supportive Fifth Harmony is of one another saying QUOTE - "I've been on tour with them for three weeks now. It's a beautiful thing to see them collectively celebrate each other's individuality."
The judges scored Normani’s performance an impressive 32 out of 40. What did you guys think about 5H supporting their girl on stage?
