Sorry not sorry!
It’s been MONTHS since Fifth Harmony’s most talked about moment at the VMAs happened and Normani is taking a page out of Demi Lovato’s book and is basically saying she’s not sorry for all the shade. In a lengthy interview with Kode magazine, Normani opened up about that fateful moment on stage that had everyone in shock. You know which one I’m talking about.
Yeah, that one. When asked about how that shady, albeit viral moment came about, Normani acknowledged the Camila reference and explained QUOTE, “The four of us have been through so much together. We’ve been each others’ strength through absolutely everything and we feel like we’ve finally come into what it is that we were supposed to be all along. We are Fifth Harmony and we wanted to make that known to the rest of the world. We’re in an amazing place, and at the end of the day it’s about happiness and being able to go to sleep at night. We love what we’re doing and we’re continuously inspired by one another.”
Normani didn’t deny the Camila shade at all and I don’t know about you, but that response sounds like she’s unapologetic about how everyone interpreted that specific moment.
Moving on, Normani also talked about her career and what fans can expect from her when she’s ready to release music as a solo artist. She said QUOTE, “As an artist I’m just having the time of my life finding myself and being in the studio figuring out what music means to me. It’s kind of like being in an amusement park, there are so many different possibilities, especially because of having the freedom, knowledge, and wisdom that I’ve taken from the last five years with Fifth Harmony. It’s amazing because it’s like a new beginning within a new beginning. We [the group] were reborn and now I would be able to take away everything that I’ve learned. I’m ready to see what’s next for Normani.” As are we, Normani. As are we.
