The flood situation in Johor has worsened, with the number of evacuees surging past 10,000 as of 8am today, a sharp increase from 3,964 people last night.
According to State Disaster Management Committee chairperson Dr Azmi Rohani, a total of 10,763 victims from 3,018 families have been relocated to 98 temporary relief centers across Johor Bahru, Kluang, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Pontian.
Johor Bahru remains the worst-hit district, with 4,291 evacuees from 1,138 families now seeking shelter in 27 relief centers.
