Gigi Hadid reveals where Zayn was when she got attacked in Milan this week, and tweets about the importance of self defense!
After her own scary attack this week, Gigi’s got some self-defence advice for young women, as well as a warning for anyone who tries to attack her in front of Zayn...
Earlier this week, a video surfaced of Gigi walking towards her car with sister Bella after a Milan fashion show, only for a man came up behind her and picked her up. Luckily Gigi had the most instinctive and badass reaction of all time, as she elbowed the dude in the face and forced him to run off...
Yass Queen. Gigi’s elbow, you the real MVP this week. Obviously Gigi was more than capable of handling the situation herself thanks to her many years of boxing and self-defense training, but that didn’t stop actor Ansel Elgort from asking the question that was on everyone’s mind after the video of the attack surfaced--where was her bf Zayn when all this was going down?
Ansel clarified that he was only asking because if someone did that to HIS own girlfriend, he said he would have QUOTE, “gone buck.”
Gigi replied to Ansel saying that Zayn would have basically gone buck himself, too, had he been present at the time of the attack. She tweeted at Ansel QUOTE, “that guy should prob take some time away from icing his jaw tonight to count his lucky stars that Z wasn't there…” She ended the tweet with a little skull and coffin emoji, so it’s pretty safe to say how crazy Zayn’s reaction would have been. So it’s probably for the best that he wasn’t, because we’ve already got more male popstar mugshots than we need at this point.
As well as joking about just how protective Zayn would have been in the incident, Gigi also tweeted that she QUOTE, “thanked my boxing coach today”, followed by a more serious tweet urging girls to take self-defense.
TWEET:
Gigi thanked her fans for all their support, but also told all the girls who follow her to take self-defense so that if they ever do feel in danger, muscle memory will kick in and fight back for them. Though the ordeal was probably a scary one and could have gone WAY WORSE, it’s awesome that Gigi can turn it around and turn it into a positive, lesson learning situation for her fans. #Respect.
