Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says he has been advised by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad not to make any announcement relating to the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project yet.
He said when asked about the ECRL after launching the Bank Negara Malaysia's Fund for Affordable Homes and Rumahku portal on Tuesday (Jan 29).
On Sunday (Jan 27), Bernama reported him as saying that the Cabinet would make an official announcement this week on the China-backed RM81bil East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.
