GURINDAM
Gurindam is an old Malay poetic form espousing a message in the form of advice, sarcasm, humor, etc., and it consists of two (2) bytes, with each byte comprising two (2) line sentences with the same rhyme. Gurindam is believed to have been developed by the Hindus, or it may have Hindu literary influences. The word Gurindam is derived from the Tamil word kirindam which means "first". It could also have been used as parable, usually presented as an opening or intermediary in a traditional performance.
