Newly minted Youth and Sports Minister Ahmad Faizal Azumu has questioned Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s recent directive to reopen cinemas and not gyms and outdoor sports.

“Cinema opened? Gym and outdoor sports? Please Khairy, there needs to be wisdom in our decisions,” he said.

Khairy later addressed the issue saying that the Health Ministry will be jointly developing some ventilation guidelines with the NSC that had to be adhered to.

He said they had to stress on certain ventilation requirements due to the nature of indoor fitness centres and were working on it urgently. He added that updates on outdoor sports would be announced soon.
