#KiniNews: Oops! - Faizal apologises over blunder on reopening of gyms

[KiniNews] Youth and Sports Minister Ahmad Faizal Azumu has apologised to gym owners and operators over a miscommunication that gymnasiums in states under Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) are allowed to reopen from today.

The ministry will push for their reopening as soon as possible, pledged Faizal.

This came after his deputy minister, Ti Lian Ker, was quoted by The Star as saying that gymnasiums in states under Phase 2 and 3 will reopen from today (Sept 17) onward.

"I am sorry for the miscommunication. I believe the deputy minister was either misquoted or misinformed.

"We will do our best to sort this out with the Health Ministry and the National Security Council (NSC) soon," Faizal was quoted as saying by The Vibes.
