[KiniNews] Amid allegations of hate speech and stirring racial unrest, Ahmad Faizal Azumu mounted a spirited defence of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
In an interview with Malaysiakini, Faizal said that Hadi is a seasoned politician and whatever he said about DAP could have come from his own experiences.
He said this when quizzed about his view of Hadi's remarks that DAP was targeting Malays who are ignorant about their faith to amass political power.
“I am of the view that everyone has their own opinions. And their opinions are formed based on individual experiences. I am sure that he has a reason for why he has said those things," he said.
