Commenting on the matter, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said they strongly opposed his statement and it is irresponsible for a former prime minister for many years to say such things, to insult any race.
National unity minister Aaron Ago Dagang also commented on this, saying he is at a loss that someone who was prime minister for 22 years could make divisive remarks or what prompted him to do so.
“If he (Mahathir) is still stubborn, we will meet him,” he said.
In response to this, Mahathir said he is ready to meet with Aaron over the remarks.
