Most of the millennium generation residents of PJ would not know a big foodie hide out right under their nose. It's the PJ Section 14 oldest food court called Medan Selera, almost 50 years old and it's till around ! It's across from a new shopping plaza   and behind an IT mall. It is below a big public multi-storey car park that offers plenty of convenient park space. This slightly "underground" arena has a wet market and plenty of Malay food stalls plus a non-halal section at the end of it.This video reveals an interesting discovery. It's a halal laksa stall that is over 47 years old operated by a Chinese, Mr Lim and his brother, who were from Penang. His mother is a baba nyonya, hence it's not surprising that he has inherited some culinary skills. His stall is famous for  assam laksa, curry laksa and the seldom seen or available  Siam laksa.

His day begins as early as 5 am and his serving attracts many regulars as well as telephone orders for take-aways. You have of choice  noodles, greens as well as seafood or chicken meat.  His secret ingredient of course is the delicious looking assam gravy and curry gravy enriched with santan.
During the puasa month he gets more Malay customers than usual. This hidden stall has been often reviewed by the press and even TV stations. Not just for the unusual location in one of PJ's most well-know medan of the past but also because Mr Lim is always welcoming. Visit him soon and discover a hidden gem in this part of PJ.
