Haris Ibrahim was one of the strong Malaysian voices through the times of political awakening in the country, including the 1998 Reformasi which later snowballed into the Bersih movement.
As he turned 63 this month, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and news that he might only have as little as three months to live.
Even as he battles with cancer, he shares with MalaysiaKini some of the memorable battles in the past. And after all these while, he said he never was compromised to build a Malaysia where all Malaysians are equal.
