Harry Style’s step-father, Robin Twist, has passed away. In a statement, the family shared the devastating news of Robin’s passing following a “long battle with cancer.”
It was just this month that Harry’s mother, Anne, shared a sweet picture of her and Robin on their 4 year wedding anniversary writing ‘Thank you for all the birthday wishes.’ Robin has been apart of Harry’s life since he was just 7 years old, and was officially married to Harry’s mother in 2013. At the wedding, Harry was Robin’s best man and he also walked his mother down the aisle, so, as you can see, this is a very tight family. And aside from Harry and Harry’s little sister, Gemma, Robin also has two children from a previous marriage.
But it seems more apparent than ever that Robin had become a father figure to so many Directioners over the years, with so many fans sharing sweet words of encouragement on Twitter.
One user wrote “Sendintg all my love to the Twist and Styles family. This is heartbreaking” alongside a collage featuring pictures of Robin and his family. Another user also shared a collage , including a major throwback of pic of Robin, Anne, & Harry writing QUOTE “He’s always been there for them, a good father figure, a good partner. All my thoughts & prayers with the Styles & Twist family.”
And the love continues to pour out all over the internet with one fan reminding Harry and his family that the fandom is always there for them saying QUOTE “All of our thoughts and prayers go to Harry and the Styles-Twist family. We’re close to you in this sad moment.”
