After attending a meeting with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia leaders on Monday, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad confirmed that the High-Speed Rail (HSR) project with Singapore will be scrapped due to high cost. When questioned about the compensation, he said he "supposed" it would be RM500mil.
