Johor DAP chief Liew Chin Tong visited the polling centre at SK Taman Bukit Indah around 8 am today, which is within the state seat of Perling where he is contesting.
Liew said voters were turning up in good numbers and encouraged all voters in Johor to come out to cast their vote.
Bernama reported that voters had begun lining up at polling centres as early as 7am this morning, even though voting officially opens at 8am.
According to the Election Commission the turnout rate for the Johor state election taking place today stands at 13 percent as of 10am.
