Former Bar Council president S Ambiga believes that the government should impose a moratorium on charges under the Sedition Act to prove it was serious in repealing it.

Meanwhile other speakers at the National Young Lawyer Committee's #MansuhAktaHasutan campaign launch, including ex-deputy minister Saifuddin Abdullah, say that it's not yet time for a street campaign.

But Ambiga says there was a possibility this might happen sooner than later.
