Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos alleged that several elected representatives from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor have used funds meant for welfare aid for personal gains.
He claimed he has evidence that the elected representatives, an MP and three assemblypersons from non-BN parties, withdrew cash from the Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) fund but never disbursed it to qualified recipients.
