Jennifer Lawrence Breaks Silence on Nude Photo Leak - Vanity Fair Intervew

Jennifer Lawrence has finally broken her silence on the massive nude photo leak that occurred earlier this year, and as expected, her response is absolutely perfect.
The Hunger Games actress is covering the November issue of Vanity Fair magazine, and spoke extensively about the photo leak calling it a “sex crime.” In the interview, she also talked about her attempts to pen an apology and breaking the news to her dad. However, let’s just take one thing at a time here.
First, J-Law expressed her views about the legal implications of the situation saying this:
“It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That’s why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody’s mind is to make a profit from it. It’s so beyond me. I just can’t imagine being that detached from humanity. I can’t imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside.”
She also mentioned that if someone looks at the stolen photos you should quote “cower with shame.” In fact, she also said that if people told her they looked at the photos she doesn’t want to get mad, but also thinks “I didn’t tell you that you could look at my naked body.”
Jenn also spoke about her attempts at apologizing for the photo leak, but felt she had nothing to be sorry for, saying this:
“Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don’t have anything to say I’m sorry for. I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he’s going to look at you.”
And as for breaking the news to her dad? Jenn had this to say:
“I don’t care how much money I get for The Hunger Games, I promise you, anybody given the choice of that kind of money or having to make a phone call to tell your dad that something like that has happened, it’s not worth it.”
However, in true J-Law fashion, she then quipped that her dad was playing golf when she made the call, so he was in a good mood. That’s our girl!
We have to applaud Jenn for her response to this situation – this just proves how strong she is and why the world loves her so much.
