Well, she never actually left. But J.Law’s Oscars antics have taken a small break. We’re happy to report that at this year’s 90th Academy Awards Jennifer Lawrence proved to be PEAK Jennifer Lawrence. During the ceremony at the Dolby Theater Jen decided to make a quick beeline to say hello to her pal Meryl Streep. She hiked up her platinum sequin gown and climbed over multiple seats to get to Meryl. And we’ve got the photos to prove it.
We all know J.Law is talented, but if we’re being honest coordination isn’t her strong suit. However, Jennifer pulled off the impressive dress and wine balancing act like a total pro. A bold attempt, but worth the risk to have a chat with one of the greatest actresses alive. In fact, Meryl was likely very impressed by this successful maneuver. But we’re not so sure how Dior’s gonna feel about it. Jen wore a stunning custom Dior gown to this year’s award show, and Jen’s stylists shared a sneak peek before the show that revealed her dress was being tailored up until the very last second.
But the only thing that would have made this J.Law moment better… is witnessing it during the live TV broadcast. I guess we’ll settle for these photos that speak a thousand words. And this, my friends, is the moment that has earned Jennifer another proud Oscars news headline. What do you guys think of Jennifer’s bold maneuver? Should she have walked around the seats like the other actors… or is she entitled to an audience shortcut if she wants it? Tell us your reactions to this peak J.Law moment down below! Buuuut wait a sec, Jennifer wasn’t the only hurdler we saw at this year’s Oscars. Click here for more on Tiffany Haddish’s rope leap on the red carpet. As always I’m your host Ava Gordy, thanks for always hanging out with Clevver during award show season.
