Justin Bieber BLAMED For Ruining THIS Natural Habitat

If you think you’re having a rough Monday, just know that it could always be worse. Justin Bieber has been blamed for ruining a canyon in Iceland.
Hey everybody, I’m Drew Dorsey -- and I can’t make this stuff up. The Biebs is no stranger to making headlines and most recently, many people have pointed fingers at him for being the reason a beloved canyon in Iceland has begun deteriorating.
And after that, the canyon experienced an INSANE amount of tourist traffic because obviously everyone and their mama wanted to see it after Justin shot there. But with a large amount of people visiting the site, came a concerning amount of deterioration.
A rep from the Environmental Agency of Iceland pointed to Justin’s video as the reason there were SO many tourists and blamed Bieber for the whole thing. They said that before Bieber’s video came out, the canyon was hardly ever visited.
But, let’s stop and think for a sec. What other MASSIVE, ENTERTAINMENT PHENOMENON took place at this same exact canyon?
Uh, ever heard of a little show called “Game of Thrones”?
Yep, the HBO hit featured the scenic spot, which is MORE LIKELY to be the reason why so many people want to visit the spot.
After all, the show has brought in nearly 13 million viewers per EPISODE this season.
So, it’s safe to say it’s a combo of the power of Bieber and Game of Thrones-mania that caused the tourist influx and subsequent deterioration of the canyon!
“Lonely Planet” reported that the increase in tourists has QUOTE “wreaked havoc on its fragile vegetation” and added that local authorities have been forced to close it down until June. They hope nature will restore itself after a much needed break from all the foot traffic.
Hopefully there’s some sort of resolution here. No matter who’s to blame, it would be an absolute shame to see something so gorgeous get destroyed by humans.
