Following Justin Bieber’s emotional performance at the VMAs many were left wondering what exactly brought on the tears so Justin set the record straight on Jimmy Fallon.
Justin has been working really hard on his comeback and revealed to Jimmy last night that the tears came from a genuine fear of being judged. Here’s what he had to say:
Justin went on to explain that the emotional ending was indeed authentic and came from a mixed feeling of being judged and really just wanting to win so badly that he put everything on the line. Justin hadn’t performed on an award show since 2013 at the Billboard awards so no doubt that making his return two years later came with a lot of pressure.
Justin also talked to Jimmy about his rocky past and pinpointed where he went wrong saying QUOTE – “I just had a lot of knuckleheads around me. I just went through a place of trying to figure out what [I’m] ok with and what [I’m] not ok with, but you have to test the waters. I just happened to be in the spotlight and in front of cameras all the time.”
Which can sound glamorous on the surface, but is really not an easy way to grow up. But it’s nice to hear that Justin is coming into who he wants to be. And in more exciting news, Justin made the big reveal that his album will be out November 13th!
