I think we all knew deep down that Justin and Selena were destined to be together. The rekindling of their relationship began earlier this summer when Justin reached out to Selena following her kidney surgery and since then they have officially romantically reunited and Jelena is back. But because of their rocky past, many have questioned why Selena would even consider giving Justin a second chance. An insider told Us Weekly QUOTE - “Justin was Selena’s first love. He will always have a special place in her heart. She’s always held out hope that one day the circumstances and timing would be right. There have been times in the past where Selena was excited and thought things would work out again, but then was disappointed [by how things turned out].” The source added that although Justin has had his fair share of slip ups, Selena has always seen the best in him.
And listen the source could be complete bs but at the end of the day I think anyone who’s been in love can understand that your first will always be held in a special place in your heart. Another source allegedly close to Bieber said QUOTE - “They’re having a great time together. Neither are seeing anyone else and they seem happy to leave it at this for now. Spending time together makes them both very happy. For Justin, no one ever came close to comparing to Selena. He always thoughts she was the most special and now seems mature enough to realize Selena deserves the best.”
And although Justin has come a long way, Selena’s friends can’t help but to be just a tad cautious. Selena’s close friend Francia Raisa has not been the biggest fan of Justin after seeing what he and Selena went through and it’s no secret that Taylor Swift has expressed in the past that she thinks her friend could do better. But times have changed and Selena’s friends now acknowledge that Justin has grown up. Justin and Selena have been going to church together and their faith has played a huge part in their growth as a couple so I say good for them and I’m rooting for them.
