[Insert Script]But the leaked song is apparently speaking for itself because it seems as though the pair may have drawn inspiration from their own relationship, but we’ll let you be the judge.
Beliebers and Selenators around the world were officially thrown the biggest plot twist of Jelena history on Saturday when a new track featuring the famous exes dropped on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio… yeah, we’ll give you a moment to let this one process while you listen to your new favorite duet:
The track is currently untitled, however many outlets are reporting that it’s called “Strong”. Unfortunately the full track has been stripped from most sites since then, however many people were able to catch some of the lyrics to the song, which focus on two people attempting to work on their relationship while trying to stay strong in the process. Sounds pretty familiar, right?
The captured lyrics read QUOTE, “What should I do? Should I go? Who do I talk to? Nobody knows. Who knows the answer to all of my questions? When will I get over this?” Another verse reads, "I’m just wishing you were better at communication," and "wishing I was better with the distance. Gotta be strong, strong, strong.”
Speculation about the song conveniently happens to come a month before the release of Justin’s new album “Purpose”, so we can only wonder if the song will be featured on the album, which won’t come as much of a surprise seeing that both Justin and Selena have had nothing but good things to say about each other in recent interviews. Justin recently opened up to Complex magazine saying, "We were so in love. Nothing else mattered. We were all about each other. Your full identity can’t be in that person. My identity was in her. Her identity was in me."
And just last week, Selena revealed that she did get her heart broken, but now there is closure in a good way and that she’s still proud of Justin’s journey.
