By now you’ve probably heard the Justin Bieber/ Selena Gomez duet ‘Strong’ that was leaked over the weekend, but we’re now learning the truth behind the track.
Just when we started to think that the on-again, off-again couple might be reunited ONCE again, well, I hate to break it to all you Jelena shippers, but that’s not really the case…The song that focused on two people attempting to work on their relationship while staying strong in the process has been stripped from most sites but we do have a clip in case you missed it… So there you have it, but I’m about to drop a knowledge bomb in saying that the track is in fact NOTHING NEW, and was actually recorded 3 years ago just for fun. A source tells ET that even though Justin’s highly anticipated album ‘Purpose’ is about to drop on November 13th… This track was never meant to be released and it’s not appearing on anyone’s album.
So don’t get too excited if you were thinking that the two were working things out AND have yet again become an item… Because that’s so not the case… Although the two have seem to come to good terms with one another, both being open and candid about their past relationship in recent interviews.
Justin opened up to Complex about the struggles of being so invested in her that he would lose his mind when things would happen, stating it was all too much, being so young, while Selena told Elle, that she’ll forever support and love him in a way that they grew up together…
So It’s safe to say there’s no bad blood per say, but that’s not to say that the lyrics in ‘Stronger’ don’t speak volumes, because they do… And Justin actually hints at his frustration with his partner’s inability to communicate in the song, which is also highlighted on his recent hit ‘What Do You Mean’ Which makes us think that although the relationship is over, they will never forget their first true love.
