Kanye West shows he’s cutting ties with Donald Trump via social media, plus Drake speaks out against the President during his latest concert.
Kanye is sharing his disapproval of President Trump’s latest decisions by deleting a LOT of Tweets.
Kanye took to twitter to delete all of his previous pro-Trump tweets, and according to sources at TMZ the decision to delete the tweets were all his.
Kanye had tweeted about his meeting with Trump back in December, telling fans QUOTE, “I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change”. He also explained that issues he wanted to influence the President on included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. But according to TMZ’s sources, Kanye has changed his mind in supporting Trump after the president’s recent controversial executive orders, including his immigration ban of primarily Muslim countries.
And Kanye isn’t the only rapper being open about his disapproval of the President’s recent actions--Drake also addressed the crowd at his concert in London last night, vocalizing his own frustrations with the current political climate.
In the middle of his set, Drake stopped performing to speak directly to his audience, saying quote, “People trying to tear us apart, people trying to make us turn against each other,” the rapper said, speaking to a crowd of fans. So tonight, So tonight, my proudest moment isn’t selling tickets or having people sing my songs. My proudest moment — if you take a look around in this room, you’ll see people from all races and all places — and all we did tonight was come inside this building, show love, celebrate life, more life, and more music.”
The crowd was all about Drake’s message of love, diversity, and togetherness, and cheered him on as he added quote, “And I just want you to understand if you ever thought for a second that any one man is going to tear this world apart you’re out of your motherf---ing mind. It’s on us to keep this shi-t together. F--- that man.”
