There was a lot of shade throwing going on at the 2014 VMAs, and it looks like Katy Perry might be the latest to participate – or was she? Is this a real thing? Well guys, you’re back at Clevver News where we’re bringing you the real details about KP’s supposed Fifth Harmony diss.
As you might recall, The X Factor contestants turned group won the fan-voted moon man for Artist to Watch at the VMAs on Sunday evening, and as the gals were headed to the stage to accept the honor, Katy Perry was seen apparently whispering to Sam Smith “Who Are They?”
While some are quick to call that shade, let’s not forget – Katy Perry is a mega-pop star who has been touring the world. She doesn’t necessarily have time to keep up with every new music act that comes along, so maybe she genuinely wanted to know who they were.
Also, Sam Smith was nominated for the award himself, so maybe she was just making a little joke to make him feel better? Either way, the ladies of 5H shouldn’t let something like this get them down – they’ve got a new album about to drop and they won a freaking moon man at the VMAs! Not too shabby if you ask us. Plus, the fact that Katy Perry is even talking about, look at or asking a question about you if pretty freaking awesome – am I right tor am I right? I’d love to have Katy Perry asking about me? Katy – wanna be besties???
