Taylor Swift casts the ultimate shade by pretending not to know who Katy Perry is.
Protip for celebs- don’t say shady things around talk show hosts!!!
In his new book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, Andy Cohen details a questionalbe encounter with the one and only Taylor Swift. Andy ran into Taylor at the Met Gala afterparty at NYC’s Boom Boom Room in May and he said exactly what you should NOT say to Taylor Swift. Watch Andy relive the story to People’s Jess Cagle.
Taylor responded to Andy’s awkward joke saying, “Katy who?!” Andy explained QUOTE, “Katy Perry!” Andy revealed to People that T. Swift then made it very clear to him Katy was the exact opposite of her friend, and not to mention this on your show. Of course the show implied here is Andy’s popular Bravo talk show “Watch What Happens Live”. Andy insisted he didn’t mean to make Taylor uncomfortable with his joke, he was simply trying to help and later realized what a mistake that was. Andy wrote in his new book he totally failed his “squad-ition”.
But we can’t fault Taylor here, if someone casually dropped our ach-nemesis’ name to us at a bar we’d probably say some things we regret too.
