Taylor is predicting that she will still be single at 30. That and she takes on the Katy Perry question one last time. Keep it here.
Hey guys! So Taylor just opened up to The Telegraph about what’s happening in her life… including getting ready for her next world tour, the expected demise of selling albums, and worrying about everything all of the time. I love that she makes the statement that her close group of girlfriends all live their own lives, they’re passionate about whatever they’re doing and they only need friendship from her – and that’s all she needs from them. Sounds like a recipe for relationship success!!
But that part of the interview that’s getting headlines is the fact that Taylor says she’ll be single at 30. And for the record, it’s actually not the craziest thing to be single at 30 – it’s totally normal! – but let’s discuss why Taylor is thinking this. She said QUOTE “…let’s be honest. No one’s going to sign up for this and everything that goes with it. Like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, want a date? Do you love camera flashes? I hope you do!’ I don’t know what’s going to happen if I’m ever content in a relationship – no idea how that’s going to work. I don’t even know if that’s possible with the life I have.”
TS also said that she’s not sure if she’ll have a new album by 2020. Aw man, seriously?? But the musician had good reason. She said that she’s not going to put out an album until she makes one that’s better than 1989, adding that it’s going to be really hard. And she addresses those Katy Perry feud rumors one last time. QUOTE “I’m not giving them anything to write about… I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen.”
So I think the main takeaway is that Taylor won’t hit us with a new album unless she is a huge fan of the songs – every single one of them – so we’re just hoping that she stays inspired.
