Ed Sheeran Weighs In On Taylor Swift's Feud With Katy Perry

Ed Sheeran weighed in on the never-ending feud while at the 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony. When asked by people magazine if he’d ever stick up for his buddy Taylor in a diss track like Selena did when she took part in 2014’s infamous “Bad Blood” single, he said QUOTE “I don’t think she needs that at all.” He also pointed out that diss tracks aren’t anything new. Take the song “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. The guy she sang about being so vain was Warren Beatty. Back to the feud of our generation, Katy VS Taylor, it might all have peaked and finally gotten squashed. Sure, “Swish Swish” is a response to “Bad Blood” and sure Katy won’t stop talking about Taylor, though to be fair, people don’t stop asking her about Taylor, but in her most recent interview WITH Arianna Huffington, this is what she said: QUOTE “I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her.” Did she just drop the word SORRY?! Wait, there’s more. She even said the L word. And I don’t mean lesbian. QUOTE “I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and I think that, you know, if we – both her and I – can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, 'Yeah, well we can do this.' Like, maybe I don't agree with everything she does and she doesn't agree with everything I do, but I just really truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion." Well, if ever I had hope that Israel and Palestine could come together in peace, it’s after this admission by Katy Perry. Do you think this merits a Nobel peace prize? Just kidding.
