Katy Perry Talks Taylor Swift Feud & John Mayer Relationship in Billboard Magazine

In honor of her massive performance at this weekend’s Superbowl, Katy Perry is covering Billboard and girlfriend is going on the record about everything from her beef with Taylor Swift to her romance with John Mayer.

So let’s just kick it off with this supposed Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift feud that the media and obviously the fans, just can’t get enough of. I love that Billboard describers the whole thing as being QUOTE “fought through magazine profiles and subtweets without either explicity naming each other.” And sorry to burst your bubble but you’re not about to get any name dropping here, either. So when asked about the situation, all Miss Katy would say was this: If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it. And I think we can all respect that, right? But to be honest, it seems like the megastar has much more important things to worry about – like, NBD no big deal – just performing for billions of people this weekend…and guys, I’m not even exaggerating here.

Next question is, does this gorgeous single gal have time for love…and is she back together with former boyfriend and collaborator John Mayer? Well Katy kept it vague yet again (which FYI I give her props for because answering questions without actually answering them is a true art form) – anyways about the John sitch, KP said QUOTE “What I will say is that to have any relationship at this level you have to just be protective and figure out how to navigate it. There’s no handbook.” Then she explained that in her all of her relationships, she’s learned that you’ve gotta be more careful and that it’s QUOTE “not up for public consumption.” And on that note, you want hear just how genius Katy is? Well she’s apparently taken to wearing the exact same outfit every single day (a black tracksuit for the record) so that if photogs get a picture of her they don’t sell well because it’s boring and you can’t tell which day it is. FREAKING GENIUS.

And I fully, fully expect to see more of that genius action during her superbowl performance. I know it’s going to be everything we Katy Kats have been dreaming of and more!
