We thought we’d be seeing the end of the world in our lifetime, but as of now, that seems more probable than seeing Taylor and Katy ever making up.
Not surprisingly, the endless feud that is Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry is still a thing… BUT 2017 may be the year when it all comes to a close, because believe it or not, Katy’s recent Carpool Karaoke sketch with James Corden, marked one step toward a feud foreclosure and one greater step for mankind, AKA we, the people, who have been over this beef, since like last year.
As both Katy and Taylor have avoided questions about a feud in the past, she openly admitted to James last month that QUOTE, “There’s a situation. Honestly, it’s really, like, she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it.” The next day, Katy also told the hosts of the SiriusXM Morning Mash Up that she would “absolutely” answer a FaceTime from Taylor, saying, “I am ready because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal.”
However, an insider recently revealed that we shouldn’t expect Taylor to reach out any time soon after Katy released her newest single, “Swish Swish,” claiming that Taylor’s ‘tired and needs to retire.” Another source close to Taylor claimed that she’s just sick of the drama, also adding, “She honestly wants no part of this, that’s why she avoids talking about it,” says the friend. “She doesn’t want to engage.”
So neither of these two may have won their case just yet, but this week DID mark a small victory for Taylor in her court case against Denver DJ David Mueller, who allegedly groped her during a meet and greet backstage back in 2013. In a court ruling yesterday, a judge said that David was too late in claiming that Taylor had ‘slandered’ his name when she accused him, which resulted in him being fired from his radio station.
It wasn’t until 2016, three years later, that David sued Taylor (which she then counter-sued), therefore not meeting the one-year statute of limitations, so the slander charges are officially off the table, but the rest of the case still remains open. Well, it’s all about those little victories, but we’re sure Tay will have no problem in providing cold, hard evidence for the rest of the case.
But until more updates continue to unfold, I want to know all your thoughts on this never-ending Taylor and Katy feud and who you think should make the first move, so get to talking right down here in the comments, and after that, be sure to click right over here to get all the details on that major Bachelorette cheating scandal on episode two of True Showmance.
