Katy Perry SLAMS Meghan Markle’s wedding dress and offers her advice on what she would have done different!
At least she’s honest?
Katy Perry was asked by Entertainment Tonight what she thought of Meghan Markle’s royal wedding dress during American Idol, and she admitted that it wasn’t her favorite. She said of the Givenchy dress QUOTE, “I would have done one more fitting...I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you.”
While many were fans of the minimalist boat neck dress, to Katy’s point, the fit WAS definitely more relaxed than fitted. Of course, considering this was a royal wedding and Meghan had a huge hand in the design of her dress, we’re guessing she thought the fit was absolutely perfect -- and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters! She looked absolutely gorgeous, and Prince Harry clearly agreed, as he mouthed “You look amazing” and “I’m so lucky” as he greeted her at the altar. Who cares what anyone thinks of your dress when you’ve got a love like that?!
Of course, for those who completely disagree with Katy and can’t believe ANYONE could have a criticism for Meghan’s dress, know that Katy has also had some glowing things to say about Meghan, herself. She previously said QUOTE, “It’s amazing what she’s doing with all this, her humanitarian efforts...You know, the fact that she’s a proud feminist, I love all that. I support her as another woman and love her and wish them both well.”
Now THAT’S a statement we can all agree on.
